And this is crazy!

Chunchullo: Stuffed and fried poultry or cow intestines.

I ate this today as an appetizer. Jumping right into things! It was actually pretty good!

Here's what I learned today:

People are generally really nice here. "You have to be nice but firm with drunk people who try to make you do brain teaser puzzles on the street." - Ellen, my roommate referring to an event that we experienced. Thanks goodness we had Andres, a friend of Ellen's, to show us the nice but firm!
They sell green mango with lemon juice and salt on the street - a very interesting taste!

We also had patacones: plantains pounded into pancakes that you put different toppings on (salsa or guacamole-type dressing). They were great - probably one of my favorite foods! Along with arepas, which are very common in Colombia and vary according to region. The ones we had today were similar to shortcake in texture and probably made with corn flour. Yum!

Fulbright is great and the staff is awesome. I can't wait to get to my city and start learning and teaching! :)

Qué deli! = Cool!/Sweet!
